Fence Kludge - West Bend WI

West Bend Wisconsin is a beautiful city - but there are a few anomalies such
as this Fence that I saw at a nearby campground. 1) Find a well-chewed piece
of plywood, 2) add a couple of ski poles and 3) a bit of clothesline.
Congratulations! You have just fixed your fence!

Sturgeon at the Milwaukee River, June 2010

I was walking in the Riverside Nature Center in Newburg Wisconsin and
stumbled across 2 cool things. One was a trailer where they are raising
young Sturgeon. Apparently with the idea of releasing them into the
Milwaukee River at this location - eventually. Another thing was this unique
fireplace in the woods. It was big enough to hold dinner for two inside of
it. And there was a stone tower right above. Wonder what that was built for?
With all the trees the visibility from the tower would have been about 50
yards.

Rock Bass and Pflueger UnderSpin, June 13

This Rock Bass was caught in the Huron River at the Riverbend Picnic Site in
the Island Lake Recreation Area. The reel shown is my new Pflueger 4410U
UnderSpin, which is proving to be a great reel for fun fishing. The bass
took a #18 Sulpher soft-hackle fly on 4lb monofilament.

Truck of Honor, Cabela's, Dundee MI, Memorial Day 2010

This beautifully painted truck was parked at Cabela's in Dundee MI on
Memorial Day 2010. It was designed to honor those who sacrificed their lives
on 9-11, and has wonderfully painted murals with images of those brave men
and women who serve in Fire and Rescue and the Armed Forces, as well as a
list of those who lost their lives, and an inspirational Crucifix on the
back of the cab.
