May rain swells the Huron River May 15, 2010

This is River Bend Picnic Site in Island Lake State Recreation Area. Yesterday the Huron River was flowing at a rate of 300 cubic feet per second near this location. The rate just 2 weeks ago was 40 cfs. Hopefully it is a bit slower on opening day for the fishers who want to wade the river.

Camoflauge

Can you spot the animal? The deer was snapped at Milford Public Library, Milford MI and the Snapping Turtle was seen at Proud Lake Recreation Area in Wixom MI. I heard the 12” Long turtle before I saw it. Then it ran off.

Spring Mill Pond April 12, 2010

It is the special trout no-kill pre-season here at Spring Mill Pond in Island Lake Recreation Area, Livingston Cty, MI. Fly-Fishers are trying to entice the large stocked trout that are taunting them!
