We took a quick little spur-of-the moment to Baldwin Michigan a couple weeks ago. It was just a one-night stay in the wonderful Red Moose Lodge (Where Kathy spotted a 15”+ Brown Trout off the dock), followed by a few hours fly-fishing for trout on the upper PM, Stromboli’s at Pompeii’s for lunch, then we hiked on the “North Country National Scenic Trail” for about 5 miles. The trail is similar to the Appalachian trail, but the NCT runs from New York, through Michigan, and ends up in North Dakota. Obviously we did not hike the whole trail in that short of time, but we felt like it! What a busy trip!
